We’re on a mission for all employers to be menopause friendly, make menopause a normal conversation and help those who need it get the support they need. 

Fundamental to that is creating inclusive workplaces and together we’re already achieving significant milestones, transforming lives and reshaping the culture of workplaces across the UK. 

While progress is undeniable, research from the CIPD highlights that one in four employers have a menopause policy and nearly a half are taking action. Although a quarter of employers have a menopause policy, Unite research reveals that a staggering 83% of women feel unsupported by their employers. 

This highlights the need to accelerate change and understanding that change takes time and action. We are committed to shining a light in every corner of every organisation, ensuring that employees receive the right support.

Industry Roundtables: transforming to the next level

So, throughout 2024 we’re running a series of Industry Roundtables. 

We appreciate that every employer is unique so to accelerate progress we’re delving into the nuances of menopause support within various industries.

These events are strategically designed to unearth the sector-specific commonalities and differences, unique opportunities and challenges of menopause at work within each specific sector. We’ll gain insights from sector leaders and contribute to pioneering discussions that pave the way for even more effective solutions to best practice. 

The great news is that The Menopause Friendly Accreditation members are up for getting their heads together to make it easier for other employers to begin or accelerate their journey.

The kick-off event is on the 22 February 2024, signalling the start of this ground-breaking series, starting with the Financial Industry.
